Maybe Solar Panels
This week I visited the local Toyota dealership to checkout the new Prius and low and behold solar panels in the roof! (I must sent this out to John Deere along with my blog link so I receive proper credit!) No power = no technology! This week provided food for thought on new enterprises and how exciting it is to dream ahead and explore where we might be headed. I believe RFID technology incorporated in seemingly everything will be driven by our thirst of data and abilty to analyize it.

Wow it has been an exciting start to the summer! I landed a new job as a Logistics Planner @ BNSF Logistics at the end of the first week of class. I promptly began training and getting up to speed on the in-house Unix system. BNSF utilizes Outlook for all communications and delivers education with GoTo Meeting and Skype.
I had the opportunity today to attend open house at SUNY Cobleskill AG&Tech where we visited a summer John Deere tech certification class. There were 5 stations each with it's own 135,000 tractor and laptop with live link for troubleshooting and analysis. Computers control the entire machine and fine tune fuel consumption tillage depth speed etc. Ironically the batteries went dead and presto lights out! Maybe solar panels?
